Snake Eagle Ripping Snake Apart As it Tries to Escape.

The snake eagle tore the snake in half before taking only the non-venomous tail end in his beak and flying off to enjoy his meal. The puffadder’s head contains the venom glands. This snake’s component was left on the road. When I drove the same road the following morning, there was no sign of the snake. It’s possible that the snake was eaten by a hyena or another scavenger. I’ve previously seen pictures of a hyena holding a dead puffadder in its mouth. I’m not sure if the snake’s poison still has any impact after it dies or if the hyena manages to dodge it in some way.
